10 Disastrous High School Problems Students Face

1. Procrastination

One of the top problems students face in high-school is PROCRASTINATION! The wall that blocks your path to success, which when you try to walk around it, it just gets longer. This distracts students from their studies or priorities, if they have any. Everybody has at least faced procrastination once in their life, and this is why it is one of the top problems faced in high-school.

How can you stop!

  1. Make a list of what you have to do.

  2. Ask someone to keep you on task, when you stray.

  3. Set alarms for to remind you that you have things to do.

2. Being Late

7:59 and school starts at 8:00. Being late is a common problem that students have. There are many reasons why people are late, such as sleeping in, missed their ride, or lost track of time. This is a problem that can easily be fixed with an alarm, or having people to wake you up (Parents). Both of these options are very annoying to wake up to, but it really does help.

3. Going To A Test You Didn’t Study For

Now hold up no cheating!, yeah literally no cheating. If you show up to a test you didn’t study for, take it like a man. Ever heard of last minute studying, the guardian of keeping yourself pure, without being tainted by cheating. There are things you can do to help you on any test except probably math and science, such as broadening your answers, but we are not here to tell you how to survive that.

We are here to tell you how to prevent that from happening. Anyways showing up for a test you forgot about, is a very big problem for your grades. This happens to lots of people, so they result to studying last minute, or trying to cheat, which are both bad. How to prevent this from even happening, is set yourself something like a calendar or an alarm. That will remind you, you have a test the next day. Having a friend that has this maybe helpful to you, because they can be your reminder/ savior for the next day.

4. BAD HAIR DAY

Ugh, ever wonder what it would be like to have a day where you go to school and noticed you didn’t brush your hair. Well not for most boys, but a major problem for the females, probably. One of the ways you can easily fix this problem is to always have a brush in your bag like a “bag brush”. Always keep it with you because you know it's going to be your savior your day. Another way you can solve this problem is to, say goodbye to your parents everyday so they can tell you that you need to stay home and fix something before you leave.

5. ALL NIGHTERS

A weekend’s delight, but a week's bite, i bring you “all nighters”. We high schoolers tend to have a lot of work we leave for the last minute, so when do we do it? You guessed it, 12am-6am. Yes we high schoolers tend to be a nocturnal bunch that will disappoint their parents until they get their life straight. How to stop all nighters on week days, is to finish your homework early and don't wait until the last minute. If it's not homework, it is chatting. Set an alarm or have your parents tell you it is time to go to bed, because trust me, you will need it.

6. Crushes/Relationships

Everyday cool high schoolers typically named Liam, are chase or loved by individuals. The people liking these people, we tend to say they have a crush on that person. This can be very dangerous in someone's social life if the rumor of who a person crush is gets out. There are rivals, there are bullies, and others. Here is an idea wait till your 18 to like someone. I am just kidding, try to keep it a secret to yourself thought, because even your best friends might let the cat out of the bag, and I think you know how that goes. The number uno tip is to keep your mouth shut.

7. Gossip

Just saying the word sends chills down my spine “UGH”. Gossip, such a horrid word, what boys like to call girl chatter. In all fairness everyone does it though. Talking behind other people's backs, talking about this person and that. It's all the same, but it gets juicier when a secret gets out then it spreads. How you ask, well i mean what is this paragraph about. This is a dangerous problem people have everywhere, especially in school life. You can't really stop this problem, except keep personal information to yourself, but you would look like a weirdo at school.

8. The “No-Backpacks” Rule

A lot of teachers stress the “no-backpacks” in the classroom, and this becomes especially problematic and irritating during the class switchover. The break is short, there’s only much room in your arms to hold notebooks for the school subjects, and you would have to shove the previous class materials in and get the new things out--which may end up nasty without a backpack.

But don’t your hope, a foldable fabric bag would help you to solve this problem, the system never states you cannot bring it. After you arrive in the class and take out all the class materials, you can fold the bag and put it just behind your back; and when you leave the class to switch, you can just simply operate with your fabric bag. This way, not only you’re getting the convenience but also you’re sticking to the rules of saving class space --- Kill two birds with one stone!

9. No Food Left for lunch

This one is the pain in which all of our stomach resonate by the time of noon -- no ‘good’ food left to eat. It’s lunch time, and perhaps you are late from of a PE change-up or delayed by a teacher’s lecture, you may found yourself stuck in a long line without an end, and when you finally reach the end, there’s only the most unwanted dishes left. For high school students, chances of that on one of those days are high. Here’s what you can do to avoid that:

  1. Prepare your ID card with you all the time to obviate the need of going to locker and fetch it

  2. Tell a good friend to help you buy lunch

  3. Bring your own lunch, it costs less and you get to eat delicious meal

10. Annoying Classmate

When it comes to interpersonal relationship on campus, annoying classmates come second. A few individuals in particular may just get on your nerves every time they come to you, maybe it’s the manner they speak or the way they dress, you just don’t like them--while the two of you unfortunately are stuck in the same class. It’s an inevitability for high schoolers, we are all impulsive and competitive group species. It can be a real sting of your day at school, but sometimes it’s the best to accept it.
